Pregnancy is often accompanied by numerous questions. As your dedicated midwife, I am available around the clock, 24/7, by phone for inquiries and concerns. Your curiosity and well-being are my top priority, it is important to me you feel safe and heard.
PRENATAL CARE
Prenatal visits are held in the evening at your home. This allows working couples to both be present. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care are experiences meant for couples, and I am committed to providing comprehensive prenatal support.
During each one-hour session, I offer thorough check-ups, nutritional counseling, and guidance on exercise and relaxation techniques. Your well-being is my focus as I support you through every stage of pregnancy, equipping you with the knowledge and preparation needed for a confident labor and delivery experience.
For added convenience, I facilitate in-house blood draws for necessary lab work, creating a seamless and comfortable experience tailored to your needs.
CHIROPRACTIC CARE
At Lux Home Birth, I believe the body operates at its best when in perfect alignment. Recognizing the significance of proper alignment, your all inclusive global fee encompasses weekly chiropractic care throughout your entire pregnancy, and extends to 6 weeks postpartum for both you and your baby.
Adjustments will be done by Dr. Logan, Clarissa's husband at Upright Chiropractic in Dewey, Arizona. He has over a decade of expertise in caring for pregnant women and infants. Additionally. Dr. Logan is happy to extend his services to cater to every member of your family, ensuring holistic and tailored care for all.
PRIVATE CHILDBIRTH CLASSES
In addition to your prenatal care, our sessions will feature exclusive childbirth education classes tailored for you and your partner, conveniently held in the comfort of your own home. This unique setup provides you with the freedom to address any questions, no matter how silly or embarrassing, in a private and intimate setting, ensuring you get the personalized support you need.
WATER BIRTHS
Birth pool and supplies are included in the global fee at no additional charge. You will be surrounded by the tranquility of a picture-perfect white home birth tub, complete with a carefully placed liner and drop cloth. The ambiance is adorned with water-safe twinkle lights and battery-operated floating candles, creating a soothing and romantic environment.
To add a touch of nature's beauty to the moment, a fresh bouquet awaits the new mother, while floating fresh flower petals grace the water, completing the picturesque setting for both you and your baby.
LABOR AND DELIVERY
Your labor and delivery journey will be accompanied by unwavering support, encompassing emotional reassurance, physical comfort measures, and expert guidance for a secure and fulfilling birthing experience. Full support is extended not only to you but also to your partner or other cherished individuals present. All essential equipment will be brought along to guarantee the safety of both you and your baby.
Post-birth, anticipate comforting touchs such as a warm home-cooked meal. Your home birth experience will be enriched with thoughtful details, including the soft glow of battery-operated candles, soothing massages with optional essential oils, the use of homeopathic remedies for added comfort, a gentle newborn exam, and the timeless gesture of capturing your newborn's footprints.
POSTPARTUM CARE
Continued care after delivery is my commitment to you and your baby. I'll offer assistance with breastfeeding, guide you through newborn care, and aid in your postpartum recovery. Additionally, I'll conduct screenings for postpartum depression and provide referrals for extra support if required.
I'll handle the paperwork for your newborn, including birth certificate and social security filings. Placenta encapsulation is included in the global fee if you desire. As you recover, expect personalized nutritional and herbal remedies. Ongoing breastfeeding support and weekly chiropractic adjustments, benefiting both mom and baby, will be provided until 6 weeks postpartum.
